I’m obsessed with mangoes. I can eat them all the time. Luckily for me, mangoes and passion fruits are typical Peruvian fruits that are available all year round!

To make this beautiful smoothie, I used ripe, sweet mango, refreshing passion fruit, zesty lime, gorgeous ginger, and fresh basil leaves. Tropical heaven! If you’ve never put basil in a smoothie, you have to try! Basil works perfectly with fruits. It’s a super good match!

It’s a very quick and easy recipe! Perfect for breakfast. You just need a few minutes to put all the ingredients together! Then, you can enjoy the tropical heaven in your glass. I really love this smoothie.

  • 1 Mango
  •  2 Passion fruits (or 1/2 cup of frozen passion fruit pulp)
  •  1 Lime (juice)
  •  1 tsp Ginger (grated)
  •  2 tbsp Honey (or agave syrup, sugar)
  •  Ice cubes (a few)
  •  ½ cup Water
  •  Fresh basil leaves (a few)
  1. Peel the mango and cut into large chunks. Transfer to the blender.
  2. Cut passion fruit in half and scoop out the seeds and flesh with a spoon. Transfer to the blender.
  3. Add lime juice, grated ginger, basil leaves, honey, water, and ice cubes.
  4. Blend until smooth. Taste and add more honey if needed. Blend again.
  5. Serve cold!
